Facilities

Practical Training: Departments equipped with modern equipment have been established for the practical training of students, where all kinds of practicals are conducted under the supervision of experienced professors.

Use of modern techniques for education: Modern scientific methods have been adopted for education and teaching. Students are exposed to the technical aspects of various topics through audio-visual methods and audio-video systems.

Anatomy and Physiology Museum and Herbarium: A museum containing charts and structures of human bones and various internal organs of the body for scientific interpretation is available in the college. There is a separate herbarium for medicinal plants where students are taught to identify medicines.

Diagnosis: The services of expert doctors have been obtained for training the students in X-ray, BP apparatus, stethoscope, ECG and other diagnostic tools. Training is given under the supervision of expert professors for pulse recognition training.

Additional Lectures: Prominent physicians, doctors, professors, and scientists are invited at various times for lectures on various curricular subjects so that students can benefit from the academic experiences of these experts.

Free Dispensary: For practical medicine, students are given special training under the supervision of the principal and professors in the outdoor free dispensary attached to the college. In this dispensary, poor and deserving patients are treated free of cost.

Pharmaceutical Training: Pharmaceutical training is the most important stage in the field of medicine. For this, the services of highly skilled and experienced experts have been obtained. Qureshi Dawakhana and Laboratories, Ajmal Dawakhana, Hamdard Dawakhana and other renowned Dawakhanas are provided with practical support. Students are taken to renowned pharmaceutical institutions and laboratories during educational tours.

Departments:

Library:

Library is an essential part of every educational institution. This department is especially important in medical educational institutions because no student can get acquainted with the mysteries and secrets of the art of medicine without studying the history of medicine and literature based on modern research. Teachers also need books to prepare their lectures and students also need books to acquire additional knowledge. Therefore, the institution has paid special attention to this field and has collected a collection of all important books related to medicine. In addition to old and new medical, scientific, technical and literary books, medical magazines and journals published at home and abroad can also be found in the library۔ There are also books on Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic and homeopathic topics for students to use.

Department of Medicine:

All available herbal, mineral and animal medicines, including the singular medicines included in the curriculum, have been arranged in a systematic manner.

Practical training is provided to first-year students for pharmacology and second-year students for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Similar drugs are arranged in such a way that students do not make mistakes in identifying them. Medicines have been displayed in the form of charts to highlight their specific properties such as digestive, carminative (expelling wind), sedative (inducing sleep), etc. Herbal medicines are preserved in their original form including roots, stems, leaves, flowers and other parts of plants.

Some medicinal herbs and various parts of plants are preserved in jars. Fresh herbs and plants are planted in pots for identification. The institute is also working towards establishing a herbal garden.

Department of Pharmacy:

This is the most important department of ancient medicine. It provides training in the preparation of medicines from tablets, capsules, syrups, khamiras, itreflaat, majoons, emulsions, mixtures, granulation, sugar coating, extraction of herbal medicines, distillation of various oils, preparation of creams, ointments, distillation, and plating of gold and silver leaves on tablets.

Department of Anatomy : It is impossible to master the art of medicine without knowing the structure and functions of the human body. The Department of Medicine and Surgery has human body parts, bones, and models in the museum to guide first and second year students. For complete knowledge of human organs through dissection, color educational films have been imported from abroad. Arrangements have been made to show these films in the drawing room during practicals. Students participate in it class-wise for practical education.

Department of Physiology:

The necessary equipment and materials for all the tests related to physiology and an imported plastic body with all the organs are available in the Physiology Department. In addition, the functions of the various organs of the human body are taught to the students with the help of charts and slides.

Clinical Laboratory:

In addition to visual, chemical and microscopic examinations of urine, blood, and mucus, the necessary facilities are available for diagnostic tests for pregnancy and gonorrhea, and blood grouping.During practical training, slides of various body parts are shown through a microscope. In this department, students are taught practical minor surgery and diagnosis and treatment. Here, fourth-year students do practicals. The department has the necessary equipment and supplies for practical training in the well-known ancient medical practices of vein-section, massage, moxibustion, methods for correcting sprained joints and muscles, and methods for connecting broken bones, in addition to operations ranging from first aid to bandaging, suturing, and minor surgery.

 X-Ray, CT Scan Mri Museum: In this department, X-ray, CT scan, and MRI films of different parts of the body suffering from specific diseases have been kept for the diagnosis of various diseases, which after viewing will help students diagnose diseases in practical life.

Museum of the History of Medicine : Here, photographs of famous doctors and their brief biographies and charts of their medical lives and achievements are displayed. Books based on the detailed lives of famous doctors and medical inventions can be obtained from the library.

Out Door Patient Department: An outdoor clinic has been established to provide practical training in personal and professional training to third and fourth year students and to serve the public. Here, free consultation and medicines are provided to deserving patients. Here, in addition to excellent training, students also have access to house job opportunities.
